Children’s Online Privacy Code (COPC) Definition:
This part of Australia’s Privacy Act 2025 sets out how the online privacy of anyone under 18 must be protected. It bans targeted ads aimed at kids and says companies have to get a parent’s permission before collecting a child’s data. The rules are in line with the EU’s approach to protecting children online.

Example
A social media site can’t gather data from users under 16 unless a parent says it’s okay.
